Test for
THC & CBD levels
Industrial hemp is a form of Cannabis sativa, the same plant species as marijuana, and is grown as an agricultural crop. Industrial hemp growers, especially new growers, may not be aware just how important it is to test their crops for THC levels and other contaminants.
Hemp plants are low in THC. But by State regulations and federal law plants testing at levels higher than 0.3% THC will be in violation of the 2018 Farm Bill. It must contain less then 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis.
Most hemp crops high in THC occur when farmers are working with a new seed, but other factors can cause a THC spike such as growing environments and long flowering periods.
KB Labs analyze your crop to ensure its quality and also test for contaminants such as bacteria, and pesticides. Because Hemp is grown outdoors in agriculture areas, dusting from other fields can carry on to the hemp field and contaminate the crop. We also operate hemp testing van that can test large hemp fields with same day results.
KB Labs will also test your Hemp throughout the grow cycle to make sure it is within the legal limits of THC and produce high levels of CBD.
CBD Products that are derived from hemp also need to be tested to first establish they contain less than 0.3% THC. And to make sure there’s no residual solvents, pesticides, or any contaminants in the product before they are used by the consumer. KB Labs can test all hemp derived CBD products.
